Sharon Tang Shanghai
Sharon is a senior public affairs practitioner with 18 plus years working experience in China, North America and Europe, when she was the head of Public Affairs for global leading firms in various industries such as chemical, pharmaceutical, consumer electronics and telecommunications sectors.
Sharon's expertise extends from overall reputation management to branding and positioning for products and enterprises.
Her solid experience as senior executive and part of management team equipped her with strong business acumen and strategic appreciation for business impact, particularly in the global environment as well as in the Chinese political and social context. In particular, she has been advising top management teams on communications related issues, and her strong focus in recent years is on issue/crisis management in the fast development economy.
Forward-looking and down to earth, Sharon is someone who has high integrity and strong belief in benefiting the greater community and mankind. Sharon is very popular in the industry as a communications career coach and is a active speaker on various topics such as female leadership, Communications for business impact, executive profiling and positioning.
In recent time, Sharon was the chairwoman for the Marketing and Communications Forum, European Union Chamber of Commerce in China. She now sits on the board of a newly established private management consulting firm based in Beijing.
Sharon has a BA and MA degree in English Literature. She is also a graduate of Nanjing-John Hopkins Sino-American Studies program. For her mid-career enhancement, she obtained her MBA and Advanced Management certificate from Anderson Management School, UCLA and is currently pursuing an MBA in Strategic Communications in University of Lugano, Switzerland.
